The authors concluded that personal digital assistants appeared to have potential in improving some processes and outcomes of clinical care, but the evidence was limited and reliable conclusions on whether they help, in what circumstances, and how they should be used were not possible. This conclusion is sufficiently cautious given the limited available evidence.
