Abstract

Confusion and mystique about quality is the main reason behind its lack of use. As the movement has grown, the appropriateness of the definitions and understanding has not been reconsidered. Commonly referenced terms are presented in terms of their relationship to quality, control, quality assurance and (total) quality management. Introduces a new concept of quality to describe more accurately quality in (total) quality management terms.
