A stage‐wise application of total quality management through the product life cycle
Abstract
Total quality management (TQM) is not a panacea for quality ills and not all attempts to employ it succeed. Reviews the TQM literature and suggests that a key to successful TQM application may hinge on matching the critical implementation factors to the stage of the product life cycle.
