Data Validation
Abstract
Four stages of data validation are discussed by operators as they input data, validating them against their own experience; by an integrated database once the data are input; by systems auditors, continually identifying errors and arranging for them to be rectified; and by managers conducting regular analyses of data accuracy. The resulting data accuracy can reduce waste and improve customer satisfaction and can thereby help a business become more competitive.
