Looking at the world’s most effective policies for the e‐economy: Driving the UK into the future
Abstract
Despite the Internet boom and bust, the e‐economy is the future, and many national governments have recognized this fact. In the UK, the British Government’s Office of the e‐Envoy (OeE) is leading the drive to get the UK online, and to ensure that the country, its citizens and its businesses derive maximum benefit from the knowledge economy. In particular, one of the Office’s core objectives is to make the UK the best place in the world for e‐commerce.
