The compensation of directors in organisations
Abstract
Discusses the role of the board of directors and their makeup. Covers the role of directors and the decision‐making process for setting pay. Provides indications of present pay levels. Outlines potential future developments, suggesting that a lack of suitable individuals may lead to difficult decisions in setting pay in the future. States that compensation can play a meaningful role in motivating board performance.
